| "Bonnard's
ultimate debt to Monet lay in the belief that
art begins in the sensation of being overwhelmed by
the beauty
of nature.
I fully identify with that belief. As a painter, I create images of an observed reality,
albeit one that has been somewhat internalized and
sifted through my own psychological world.
Usually,
what I convey is an emotionally charged landscape
resplendent with vivacious energy, a landscape
that speaks of the joy of life. All of my paintings
are testimonials to places where I have been.
I take artistic license by exaggerating, somewhat,
the colors
and shapes."
